I had it all in my head what I wanted it to look like, but I've never made anything like this before, so figuring it all out was the difficulty...I used my Creative Memories circle cutter -- the black and red were the same size, and the white was a hair smaller. I cut the red circle in half for the wings. Then I used my PTI polka dot basics (the single dot) and embossed with black powder (and versamark). I stamped the white with PTI's bitty blessings sentiment and CTMH key to my heart flourish. The ink was Brillance "poppy" and the black was Archival Ink. I accented with Black Diamond stickles (mmm).
The head of the ladybug was a smaller half-circle and the eyes even smaller than that (and I embossed the eyes, too, for a little added touch. For the antennae is used black ric-rac.
Now, assembling: I put brads on the wings and attached them to a smaller half circle underneath the head. Then I put mini glue dots on top of the brads and underneath the brads to attach everything...so yes, everything is together with 4 glue dots, lol. But it works and it "flies".
Hope you enjoy!! I'd love to see what you would do if you made a ladybug...or if you made another "moving" creature!
Super cute, it turned out great!
