KW's 50th with a cherry on top!

Oh my gosh, how fun! Wasn't sure what I was going to do with this one, but luckily, I had taken a little trip to Michael's and picked up some acrylic paints in some super funky colors for less than a dollar each! And not only that...two of the colors were part of the challenge! Awesome Kristina - and congratulations on #50 - I just wish I could have been there from the beginning!!

I almost felt like I was back in grade school with my painting and splattering...it was so fun!!

I dipped the brush in the paint and then brushed onto my SU stamp from the hostess set Loopdie Doop. After stamping the image, I watered down the color and splattered. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. The brown was a little tougher..because I didn't have the paint color, so I used my SU reinker and my CTMH create a shade and it worked really well!! You really can create-a-shade!! lol!

I topped it off with some liquid applique from CTMH which you put under a heat gun and get a really awesome frosting effect. And then the "cherry" of a red brad!

Super fun - can't wait to see everyone else's! Thanks Kristina!!

Whatever Challenge #7

Rub ons as a focal point: love it!

I just recently hosted a SU party and was able to receive lots and lots of freebies...woohoo!

Among those was the hostess set called loopdie-doop (or something) it came with papers, stamps and rub ons.  I used the cloud rub on (cut out the lines and put them at the top, with the HB rub on and I messed up the bottom a little and covered it with a little flower rub on.
Then I cut out these candles from a cute paper I got at our local store K2 and finished off with "dingle balls" lol...from Joann's.

Enjoy!

Fantastical Birthday!

I made this card actually last week for my little niece's first birthday! I made the shape of this card just by sketching out a butterfly and cutting it out. The bottom half of the card I cuttlebugged and the top half I attempted to sew with my new machine!! It came out a little funky...but my niece Rachael is 1 so I figured she really wouldn't care lol!
I used some fringe which was kind of fun because I wanted to do something "fantastical" for the Caardvarks challenge. I used some doodlebug glitter and some pearls for accents. I cut out the happy birthday and the hats from some paper I got in a stack. Then glossy accents on the polkadots of the hat.
Oh poop - I tried to post the card on caardvarks and I missed the challenge! :(
Enjoy!

Butterfly Heartfelt Thanks

I made this card special for my sister in law. I just thought it was so sweet and it seemed like it would be perfect for her. She handmade me a whole kitchen towel set - she's incredible, check out her etsy.

I used my SU envelope die cut and my Martha Stewart punch with some Chocolate Remix paper PTI and Raspberry Fizz from PTI. CUTE!
The ribbon is from CTMH? And the sentiment is from PTI's buttefly stamp.
I finished off the bottom butterfly with a Kaiser pearl.
She really liked the card...I'm so glad!!

I Can't Thank You Enough!

I made this card with my new B&W Basics from PTI...I added a few little dots from Joann Fabrics. The stamp is from SU along with the punch and the die cut.

I embossed it too.

See ya!

Thanks Friend - Dawn's Color Challenge #3

I always get inspired by all of these challenges that I participate in and I was frustrated because I missed Dawn's challenge last week!
So I wanted to make sure I didn't lose out this week...I made this card last night and forgot to post it! Even though it's one of my favorites I did last night...duh!

I really wanted to do a circle card - I used my Making Memories circle cutter and put faux stitching in white CTMH marker and light pink dots in between using my baby pink CTMH marker.

The flower in the middle is a run-on from Michael's and I put a little clear 3-d circle in the center to make it glossy.
I made two little tags in SU paper using PTI mega mixed messages. I attached those both with a crystal brad.
I used my exacto knife to poke 2 holes at the top and ran some ribbon through it (sorry, I don't know where the ribbon is from)...and I have to apologize again because I am still learning how to tie the perfect bow - that is really hard to do!
Enjoy!

I Can't Thank You Enough - 2nd TPE Submission

My last and favorite card of the night...I LOVE PAPERTREY INK! yummy...these colors are just uh gorgeous. The paper is from the Raspberry Fizz and Black/White Basics.

I thought it went beautifully with the challenge this week at The Pink Elephant (and their banner - I love coordinating!) this is my second submission for the week.

Enjoy!

recipe:

paper: pti - raspberry fizz, black and white basics
edge distresser: ctmh
stickles
su scallop square
su stamp: from congrats set (?)
chipboard button: michael's $1 bin
ribbon: joann fabric (thanks Na)

Sweet Baby

My friend Donna at work was telling me I don't have enough baby cards...so I made one just for her.
I was excited to use my guidelines II from PTI (again - I'm obsessed) what a gorgeous stamp set...and it is really easier than it looks.
The sentiment is also from PTI (mega mixed messages). Sorry, I can't remember where the ribbon is from.
The chipboard button is from Michael's in the dollar bin (sweet!), the button is from Wal-mart ad the rhinestone is from CTMH.
Beauty!

Thanks a Bunch!

Very easy but fun card. I used my SU scallop circle with PTI bitty dots and Friends til the End paper (and some other random paper). The middle flower I popped up. Then I took some SU ribbon and stapled it to the kraft paper.

I love my One Smart Cookie stamp from SU...I used the little grape stamp and the sentiment "thanks a bunch" ha - love it!

I finished off the stamp with some stickles.

Cute huh?
oh and I embossed the paper on the left with my cuttlebug (did I mention how much I LOVE that thing???)

What a Wonderful Day (and Yummy Dinner)

Jim and I tried to make kabobs today but we ran out of juice in the grill (like I told Jim it would...) so we took the shrimp, steak and vegetables off of the kabobs and Jim cooked them on the stove with some Italian dressing, Worscheter and lemon juice - YUM. Then we got some a party handle of Jose Cuervo Margarita and wow it was a perfect complement. For dessert we had some fresh fruit.

We ate outside on our lanai - it was beautiful outside, sunny with a great breeze. I put our tablecloth on that we got for our wedding - it was so beautiful and our plates and the colors matched perfectly!

Here are some close ups - mmm mmm good.

Now we are going to finish up the night with Gone in Sixty Seconds...ok let's ride!

My birthday was awesome!!

Happy Birthday to me...! Every year my parents either get me a birthday cake or they make me one (and my mom normally puts lifesavers as candleholders...just because it's cute!)

Those are my parents (and our family cat, Foo). We were watching a new movie with Will Smith "Seven Pounds" - which was awesome by the way (a little slow in the beginning, but it was great overall).

This year I am 23 - woah - time flies and it was a wonderful birthday. Jim got me some PTI stuff (I love him) - thanks Na for helping him :)

I came home from work, and there Jim was - not only did he wrap the presents, but he decorated it with flower and a button - HOW CUTE, right? Uh, he's so adorable.
I am just obsessed with all of this PTI stuff...it's beautiful. He got me the Bitty Dots paper, the Butterfly set and the Mega Mixed Messages. I've already used a little from each!

Not only that but the day after my birthday we went to my sister-in-laws house to celebrate my birthday again! Heather (my sis-in-law) HAND CROCHETED a hot pad, then knit dish towels and hand towels. They are beautiful and you can visit her Etsy store here. She's amazing! Check it out!
(that's my father-in-law and my nephew, Danny sitting next to me). Excuse the terrible picture of me... :)

Butterfly Thanks

Ahh more PTI stuff (LOVE IT!) but it's like the most perfect scrapbooking stuff EVER.

Na got me my first ever PTI stamp set...polka dots - I'm in love. I embossed with white powder (I'm not the best embosser though, as you can see...but I try!)

The butterfly is from a different PTI set that I stamped onto the Raspberry Fizz paper. The sentiment is from the Mega Messages and I finished off the butterfly with some white pen flight marks...oh and a kaiser craft pearl.

Hope you like as much as I do!!
That's it for tonight - thanks for looking!

Bundle of Joy

I know the picture is really blurry, but I made this card for my husband's cousin, Jessi, who just had a GORGEOUS baby girl, Prudence Cassidy (Prue) LOVE.

I used all of my brand new birthday gifts from PTI (thanks Na and hubby!)

The ink is Brillance (pearlescent orchid) and the crystal brad is from Michaels.

Other than that...all PTI and I love it that way. SO OBSESSED. Especially the bitty dots (Na - you are sneaky, sneaky!)

Oh and I finished off the little dots on the butterfly with some glossy accents.
I think she'll like this - I'll post pictures soon!
CUTE!

Raspberry Suite CC - Thanks so much!

Oops, so I missed Dawn's first and second challenges...but I still wanted to make a card with these gorgeous colors. And Christy did such a beauty-job on her card, so I thought I'd try it too!
So I just celebrated my birthday and I got ALL PTI stuff and I was like super excited. I love my friends for helping my wonderful husband pick out my gifts :) lol. He said "I wanted to get you something that would contribute to your hobby" YUMMY I love him. And he picked some good stuff.

Everything is PTI except for the stickles and the solid turquoise paper from SU..and the ink - it is Brillance (?) in the olive and brown and the turquoise is CTMH. Ok and the button - is creative cafe.
I am in love with this card - and I'm going to use it to give to someone who got me a birthday present. Thanks for your help (and presents) ladies!!

Love you all~
