A Yummy Treat and a Perfect Pair

Vacation starts today! Woo hoo! Well, actually yesterday at 5:00 pm. Can't believe I'm up so early though and I don't have to work today (and we saw the 12:01am showing of Transformers 2 last night...oh my was that awesome! Just as great as the first!)

So these colors inspired me to make mini cards...I made 2 and I just love them - plus I used my new Kit of The Month stamps from Unity Stamp Co. Love this month!!

I used PTI's rustic cream cardstock (which is my new favorite and I am running out!) The polka dots are from PTI's Polka Dot Basics.

The rest of the stamps, as I mentioned, are from Unity.

The whole ice cream cone I popped up and accented the cherry with stickles. The little ' ' are from Michael's (chipboard - Amy Butler I think).

The colored pears are popped up too and colored with CTMH markers.

Enjoy! Don't they look "yummy"!

Father's Day 2 - Flyin' High

Quick post today...I'm so tired and hungry - I've done a lot today (I had off work) and it was a great day!!
My father-in-law looooves airplanes...and when I saw this paper at K2 from S.E.I., I just knew I had to make a card.
The fun part is the front compass (in blue) and the plane both spin thanks to my handy brad!!
Alright - I'm headed off K2 for some Scrap and Dash!
Enjoy!

With Appreciation (and Glimmer Mists!)

My favorite card of the night!

It started off being kind of ugly (lol) it looked like a monter's foot and I wasn't sure what to do. So I used some Watercolor Paper from SU and spritzed glimmer mists (love those) in lime green and blue skies. It dries surprisingly quickly.

I stamped Archival Ink in Sepia with the new PTI Background Basics: Text Style over it. The colored paper is all SU, the cream is PTI. The sentiment is PTI's Mega Mixed Messages. The buttons are from Creative Cafe.

Oh, and my new punch is EK Success (it embosses and cuts in a scallop design at the same time - yummy!!)

Enjoy!!

Fun Technique - Create A Shade and Adirondack Inks

New technique! I am so excited about this...I combined my Create a Shade (CTMH) with Adirondack Alcohol Inks (this one I used Raspberry...it came out a little darker in person). I used Scattered Showers and Polka Dot Basics both from PTI.

The black ink is Archival Ink from Tim Holtz to make sure the image and sentiment would pop out.

The cardstock is Rustic Cream from PTI and the other paper is Watercolor from SU.

Enjoy this new technique (well, it's new to me anyway!!).

Thanks So Much!

This card was a total fluke...I used the blue SU cardstock that already had a hole punched from it...I didn't want to waste it. Then the inside (my camera died, I'll re-post the inside later) stamped with a few different inks to show my friend the difference between the new PTI inking system inks and the vintage cream. I used a SU scallop to give the rings around the first and last circles then used a reg. circle punch from SU and put buttons around to look like a flower.

All supplies are SU except for the PTI ribbon and rustic cream cardstock.
Enjoy!

Old Guys Rule - Happy Father's Day!

Another quick post...this is my father's day card - I had a lot of fun with this. The paper was double sided from American Creations (the car was on the other side and I cut it out and popped it up).

Buttons from Walmart and solid paper from SU and PTI. The "father" is from PTI also.

Enjoy!

Raspberry Mojo - Smile!

Two challenges in one!!

I went over to my friend Terry's on Friday night (we go over for crops every other week and it's soo fun...those girls are awesome!)
I was really, suprisingly productive!
This was my second card, I think (out of 5!)

I did a double-layer of the butterfly which gave it a little depth. And I stamped the sentiment and border around it with PTI's new Chai inking system ink first them brown staz-on for some more depth.

Enjoy!

recipe: (all products PTI Papertrey Ink unless noted)

ink: staz-on brown

Get yourself a cocktail...You Deserve It!

Drinks, anyone?

LOOOOVE the new Day at the Beach from Papertrey Ink. Yum.

I used Raspberry Fizz cardstock from PTI along with the DATB stamp set, Raspberry Fizz ink, Melon Berry ink and Lime Green from Brillance.

I also used my nestabilities Label One (I think...or Three - I have both and they are incredible).
The patterned paper is Lime Rickey.

And I embossed with Polka Dot Basics (PTI) and Sparkle N Sprinkle's Embossing Glitter Powder.

The ice cubes are Platinum Stickles.

I love this card, I have to toot my own horn a bit :)

Enjoy!

Whatever Challenge #8: Staples

Whatever!

lol..it's that time for another Whatever Challenge!

This time it's STAPLES!

I wanted to use them in a kind of different way than I usually do. I thought a border would be neat.

I used kraft cardstock and used some of my new Papertrey Ink goodies - Vintage Touch inking system, Background Basics: Text Style, Warm Happiness stamp set, Mega Mixed Messages (along with CTMH coffee set).

The other inks are vintage cream and Melon Berry (both PTI)...oh and staz-on brown.
Then I paper pierced the steam.
I had lots of fun using my new goodies :)
Make sure to check out Christy and Naomi to see what they came up with!!
Enjoy!
